Blood is thicker than water The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.

Meaning that relationships formed by choice are stronger than those formed by birth.

Let’s not forget that “Jack of all trades, master of none” ends with “But better than a master of one.”

It means that being equally good/average at everything is much better than being perfect at one thing and sucking at everything else. So don’t worry if you’re not perfect at something you do! Being okay is better!

These made me feel better

Also, “great minds think alike” ends with “but fools rarely differ”

It goes to show that conformity isn’t always a good thing. And that just because more than one person has the same idea, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea.

what the fuck why haven’t i heard the full version to any of these

“Birds of a feather flock together” ends with “until the cat comes.”

It’s actually a warning about fair-weather friends, not an assessment of how complementary people are.

I’ve always felt like these were cut down on purpose.

I really like these phrases and plan on spreading this knowledge.

The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I want to make designs out of these.

Funny how all the half-finished ones encourage uniformity and upholding the status-quo, while the complete proverbs encourage like…living exciting, eclectic lives driven by choice and personal passion.

NICE

The legendary thread is back

I’m seeing Klance everywhere don’t mind me

lance-needs-a-keith:

Okay but what about this scene where Allura spots Keith in the crowd while they’re giving medical supplies to people

Then we see Keith, not even blinking, staying focused on Allura.

Well, what if it’s not Allura he is looking at ?

Just after seeing Keith walking away, we see Allura freeze

AND THEN SHE DEADASS LOOKS AT LANCE

THEN BACK AT KEITH

THEN SHE GOES BACK TO WHAT SHE WAS DOING

WHY DID SHE LOOKED AT KEITH THEN AT LANCE THEN AT KEITH IT’S HAUNTING ME

Please don’t mislead. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says homosexuals are banned from heaven because they gave into their lust. Jesus can cure people’s mental illness but can’t cure how some people accept the illness as reality and justify it..

Dear sibling in Christ,

“Homosexuals” were never mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. In fact, the word “homosexual” wasn’t coined until well after Jesus’s time, and any translation that includes it is in fact a mistranslation. Please do look into it.

Followers, if you have anything to add, please do.

Correct, “homosexual” first appeared as a word in the late 1800s, and first appeared in Bibles in the mid 1900s.

Also 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 is talking about pagan fertility rituals.

not to mention that historically it was never ‘gay’ sex that was criticized – these texts are coming out of a period where there was renewed support behind the philosophical idea that any sex (regardless of whatever combination of genders is participating – so that includes a man and a woman) being had that wasn’t for actively trying to conceive a child was ‘unnatural’.
