Until I was in my 20s and in college my only exposure to WW2 was through Indiana Jones movies. There was a holocaust class in college that I took because I was tired of not being taught this. Also in middle school, I think 5th grade, the teacher skipped over the civil war so my dad asked the school for the history text book over the summer and taught me.
