Klance is not dead Ya’ll
I keep seeing post with people saying Klance is dead, but is it really?
We know we for a shit ton of Allurance scenes this season, which is I guess why people are saying Klance can never be endgame, but I beg to differ.
It’s obvious Allura has no romantic feelings for Lance. She see’s him more as a friend than a lover. The feelings he has for her are not requited, and I feel like that’s a step to him becoming more mature. He needs to realize that she doesn’t love him the way he loves her, and move on.
Allura at the moment is not in a very good situation. A person she loved (romantically), had just betrayed her. She said she couldn’t trust herself, she’s heartbroken. Lance went and comforted her, like a friend, saying “we need you” instead of just confessing and saying “I need you.”
Lance needs someone who’s self-assured and confident. Guess who matured over the season?? Keith did. He’s more confident now, more self-assured. Before he was unsure of his abilities as the leader, hesitant to lead Voltron. He didn’t exactly do it very well either, but now he’s changed, he’s sure of himself now. He’s had two years of bonding time with his mother, found out more about his past, and grew both mentally and physically. He went and piloted the Black Lion without hesitation, and led like a proper leader.
Like Lance said, “sometimes what you want isn’t always what you get.” Lance wangs Allura, he likes her, but he doesn’t need her (romantically speaking). He’s going to end up in a different place than where he was in the beginning, and that he’s going to get what he needs and not wants (from what I’ve heard).
Klance could happen, guys, so don’t give up just yet. We’ve still got more seasons, so I’d say let’s wait and see how the story unfolds.
