Okay the title is a bit iffy but that’s besides the point…

I’m late as always… but after finally having the guts to rewatching it [Volume 5 Chapter 11]

I noticed the parallels between Ruby and Jaune (duh)

Both of their partners got hurt/killed by the same pyromaniac

Both having to witness the horrific tragedy happening with their own eyes (and later most likely blaming themselves for it)

But due to it, they both ended up unlocking a power that they both were unaware of… (SEW powers, Semblance)

BUT here’s the thing, the thing

Jaune managed to save Weiss…

But Ruby? She didn’t get to save Pyrrha…

Bonus note: Jaune’s semblance kicked in in time, but Ruby’s semblance (which is speed) didn’t (she didn’t get there in time for pyrrha)
