me, an intellectual: lotor was never a villain, he was chaotic neutral the whole time, but since tumblr hates morally grey things and his behaviour towards voltron puts him in an antagonist position, his fandom character was twisted into an evil and sadistic “psychopathic rapist” plus people wouldn’t stop projecting previous versions of his character onto him, completely ignoring his canon behaviour in favour of letting him be defined by how sincline behaved in the og series. Lotor isn’t evil or intentionally villainous, so he isn’t in need of a redemption arc because he’ll work with the protagonists smoothly for as long as it benefits him
