*sigh* Tumblr’s censorship system works on an algorithm and bases what counts as “lewd” on how many flesh-colored pixels are in the picture. I’m not sure exactly how it works for text posts, but that’s how it goes for photos and that’s why something completely innocent will be blocked while actual hardcore porn won’t. It may be your cat but there were too many peach/beige/brown pixels in it so the algorithm thought it was porn.

Honestly this is good to know for artists as well.  Thank you for informing how the damn thing works.
