One reason why I am so happy that Meteora reverted back to a baby is what would have happened if they talked her out of her rampage and got her to return the souls. Meteora would have reverted back to the form she had before embracing her monster half. And if she had agreed to stop stealing souls to maintain her youth, she would have started aging again. And then would eventually die due to old age while Eclipsa is still alive and physically younger (crystallization appears to freeze aging so while Eclipsa would be over 300 years old mentally, her physical age is the same age she was before crystallization) so Eclipsa would have to watch her daughter die. But now Meteora is a baby and Eclipsa will be able to raise her. They both got a chance to start over and that is wonderful.

Also a point to make: klance really don’t follow the trajectory of a typical rivals to friends narrative that we see in media – especially children’s media. For example, if we take Ash and Gary from the pokemon anime as the archetypal rivalry turned into a friendship to base all other rival relationships around (and I will because for the longest time, they were the picture for The Rival trope on tvtropes), then Keith and Lance don’t actually follow that trajectory. They became friends far too soon. The “we are a good team” scene came way too early in the show. If the entire purpose of their dynamic was to lead to an eventual friendship between two rivals, they’ve rushed it. And yet – whatever is developing between them is slow enough that it’s hard to assume it is just that. Like there’s another step, and the question is what that step is.

Heterosexuality itself isn’t harmful. It’s just a sexuality. The mindset around it, is what’s harmful.

Example: being a guy and being attracted to women/vice versa is all well and good

However believing that women are meant to submissive/men dominant, is harmful
