I don’t want to be one of those people who take the spotlight off of our queer son Shiro, but I was thinking in that picture where Shiro and Lance are holding the LGBT sign Shiro looks pretty confident like a man who is already out and has had a long term relationship with another man. However Lance looks sort of unsure of himself, it’s a half smile, he looks nervous…. could that possibly allude to Lance coming out to Shiro?

Absolutely. That picture alone has been the source of that theory for a long time, and now that Shiro is confirmed mlm, it’s all coming together now:

• Shiro was out at the Garrison and in a serious long-term relationship with another man
• Lance really looked up to him, called him his “hero”
• Lance’s arc is one of self-discovery
• Keith’s race and Pidge’s gender have both become canonically significant and have strongly involved Hunk and Allura respectively

We are truly on the edge of something great here. Having Lance go to Shiro for support about his sexuality would be so fucking amazing for queer kids watching like holy shit.
