Darling in the Franxx & Kiznaiver similarities (Characters)

Because they are both created by Studio Trigger, (though DitF was created by two other more) there are some similarities between the two series character wise as well as they are polar opposites in some cases.

Katsuhira Agata & Hiro:

Katsuhira had an airy, indifferent personality which can be perceived by others that he doesn’t care. He demonstrates some emotions but not as much as his peers. Hiro on the other hand displays more emotions but feels left out by his team because of his abilities. Both were part of an experiment when they were kids but lost their memories thus becoming who they are prior to the current storyline. They are changed because of their love interest.

Sonozaki & Zero Two

Ah, the enigmatic long haired love interest that changed the main protagonist. While Sonozaki displayed an enigmatic, cool aura, Zero Two displayed a playful personality. But both have the personality and charisma that makes Katsuhira and Hiro want them

Chidori & Ichigo

*sighs* The famous childhood best friend that romantically likes the protagonist (they even both wear a hair clip). The more open, dignified and goody-two shoes that would do anything for them even if it means separating them from the long-haired girls that they like. They are often hated than they liked (for the same reason). In the end, they chose to accept that their feelings are not reciprocated by the protagonist.

Tenga & Goro

Tenga is more violent while Goro is more reserved. Some would say that they serve as a wingman for the childhood friend and the protagonist while harbouring romantic feelings for the childhood friend as well. (Heck their character designs consist of glasses as well) and spoiler: they end up with the childhood friend

Nico & Miku

The cute, bossy and cheery type of the group (often has the twin tails). They often act as the rich, spoiled brats but they care for their friends. Sometimes, they care too much that their emotions get to them and it can be a bit of a problem.

Honoka & Ikuno

The aloof females. They are usually calm and collected but once they explode, it creates an impact since they don’t normally show their emotions to people. Coincidentally, they are interested in the same sex (though Honoka showed interest in a guy later on). In the near end of the series, they seem to open up more.

Yuta & Mitsuru

Their rather proud attitude seems to stem from their past but gradually changes as the series progress. In the end, both have a romantic interest in one of the girls in the group. They are hated at first because of the said personality.

Note: These are just some similarities that I pinpoint and are based on my opinion. What do you think?
