I found something interesting while grabbing screencaps for s1 vs s6 comparisons. Specifically, one single one second frame:

For some inexplicable reason, Keith and Sendak are glowing red. For reference, this is the frame directly after:

There’s no reason for the two of them to be glowing red like that. They aren’t standing in red lighting (or else it would be seen in the next frame as well), and there was no flash of light that would cause red coloration (and if there was, it should be seen on Allura in the background as well).

Something interesting here though is the fact that this is Keith winding up to take a swing, and he lands his first hit on Sendak in this moment. From there, the battle moves less and less in Sendak’s favor.

Personally, I like to think that red lighting is Keith channeling the Red Lion for a split second to help him fight, but that might just be me.
