Darling in the Franxx : Analysis and Theory

The universe of Darling in the franxx is riddled with mysteries , it has so many things that have been left unexplained so far in the anime . That is also the reason why the show had me addicted to it , hook line and sinker. It’s a word brilliantly crafted and made enjoyable.

With the release of the latest episode , a number of old questions have been answered , while giving rise to many new ones . The episode talks about reproduction in their world , which has become taboo and people are forbidden to even talk about it. The episode indicates towards the way humans have evolved in that world , and how the evolution is unnatural. Humans have eradicated the process of reproduction , and have also removed any and all influence of feelings .

It talks of the ideology which states that human feelings and emotions are simply a burden and are the things holding humans back .

At this point in the show , I have a number of queries , but the things I’d want to know as a priority are , what is the relation of Papa and the nines , because the nines are privy to information noone else has , and they seem to outrank various adults in the series. I also wish to understand what exactly are the creatures being fought off by the humans.

Another thing that caught my attention was the closing lines by the queen , wherein she called the humans of this time “fake” which I believe means that she feels strongly about the evolutionary path the humans of this universe chose .

The queen isn’t the only one who sees the wrong in humans , I feel Dr. Franxx has come to a similar conclusion , hence the formation Hiro’s team , and the various tests being done to them . I think Dr franxx is trying to re-create how humans were , using these kids.

I’m very excited to see how the story progresses and I’m sure in the next few episodes a lot of the story will open up quite a lot , and I’m very excited to watch it all happen .
