One reason why I am so happy that Meteora reverted back to a baby is what would have happened if they talked her out of her rampage and got her to return the souls. Meteora would have reverted back to the form she had before embracing her monster half. And if she had agreed to stop stealing souls to maintain her youth, she would have started aging again. And then would eventually die due to old age while Eclipsa is still alive and physically younger (crystallization appears to freeze aging so while Eclipsa would be over 300 years old mentally, her physical age is the same age she was before crystallization) so Eclipsa would have to watch her daughter die. But now Meteora is a baby and Eclipsa will be able to raise her. They both got a chance to start over and that is wonderful.
