Sorry as soon as episode 13 came out, I legit found so many similarities it’s fucking insane…
The episode starts off with Hiro sitting next to a small Zero Two, and then himself with his younger version…well who do we remember went into a machine to watch the directors old memories of himself and shiro? That’s right, GANTA! In a few panels you can actually see Ganta watching his mom as a van drives away with his youngerself and also an older Ganta trying to save a younger Shiro
Another part is where Zero Two mentions a person teaching her and bringing her food ect. Shiro was taught a lot of things by Ganta;s mother because of guilt and later when she dies, Shiro starts to learn more from the director.
Both Zero Two and Shiro only know isolation, neither of them have seen the outside world, only hiro/ganta were able to make them enjoy their time in isolation.
Zero Two and Hiro shared candy together, for Ganta and Shiro it has always been pudding.

the final scene where the two realize that they knew eachother from the past and only resulted in them falling in love…goddamnit I know Deadman Wonderland started 11 years ago in 2007….so sure no one will know about this manga because all the hype that Darling in the FranXX created but.. look at this, this is just the same! both are crying and looking at eachother when they realize…honestly trigger?
Zero Two’s design looks a lot like Anemone from Eureka Seven, a mecha anime and manga animated by Bones and the manga by the same creators as Deadman Wonderland
ALSO Why does Zero Two remind me so much of Anemone in looks and personality …..???
