Ok I’m not gonna lie, Chise being able to get over what her mother did to her and realize sort of what was going on was amazing. It was such a powerful moment to watch Chise say “I dont forgive you”, and “you’re the mother I created in my head”.

It was so hard to watch Joseph take her eye out, replace it with his own, and then for her to rewatch everything that happened. Why did her father leave? Why was her mother being plagued by those creatures? It was so sad, and I somehow could see myself in Chise’s place just a bit, with her mother hurting her and everything.

Also, damn Chise, being able to grab Joseph like that!
