Dress like a hooker to protest sexual harrassment….

I just love that they will spend thousands on this shit to “protest” sexual harassment, yet they dont bother doing anything to ACTUALLY combat or face the issue at hand. 

I can get the “doesn’t matter what I’m wearing” but this just.. looks stupid..

Unless they are actually doing something meaningful on top of this, their protest is useless. If they are actually working with organizations to prevent sexual harrassment, though, I have a lot more respect for them because at least they’re doing something about it.

Look, I don’t really give a shit what they decide to wear. The thing that frustrates me is that I guarantee you the majority of these people knew exactly how corrupt and exploitive Hollywood is but they didn’t say or do anything substantial until it was beneficial for their careers.

There were a couple of actual predators and abusers still invited to the ceremony, apparently. Focus on that. “OMG they’re protesting sexual harassment and rape but are dressing sexy” is old discourse, the answer to that is “that’s the point, it doesn’t matter what they’re wearing”. 

I mean, I realize nobody commenting is likely to give a shit, but the movement that organized it did raise 14 million dollars for legal aid to help sexual harassment, abuse, and rape victims.

Don’t worry though.  You can continue to be bitter, pathetic little shits who don’t do a thing but bitch about things on tumblr.

Yeah, to a charity (Time’s Up) with no rating or even presence on major charity watching websites, excuse me if I stay suspicious of any charity in an age where almost every charity embezzeles the vast majority of donations.
