All the people anti Yatori always blame Yato for refusing to cut ties with Hiyori, but they totally forget how Hiyori begged him to not do it and told him that she wants to stay with him longer. Not to mention that she was really disappointed and felt broken when she found out that Yato actually accepted to do that and wanted to do that. Yato is so broken, no one loved him and cared for him until he met Hiyori, he never had a person like her. Hiyori also sees Yato as someone very special and unique, someone she wants to protect and spend her time with. It’s not that easy to leave all those things. He protects her, he knows that keeping Hiyori close to him would put her in a huge danger, but Hiyori simply refuses to stay away from him, and when Yato actually stayed away from her, Hiyori suffered so much and she’s very affraid of losing him. When Yato could’ve turned Hiyori into his shinki in chapter 51, that would’ve meant killing her, and he doesn’t want to take away her life and her memories, he knows exactly how it feels to not be able to live your life and be happy. I really think that the writers will find another way to make Yatori canon since they’re the most developed ship. And for those who say that Yatori is pedophilia, then so is KazuBisha, Kofuku x Daikoku and basically all the main Noragami ships? Authors don’t ship pedophilia. That’s already obviously. Not to mention that Yato tried to ask Hiyori to marry him two times. If he knew that it’s impossible (and he would never want to kill her, take her life or anything else), why would he ask her this?
