So you know in Trials of Apollo where they’re having the Three Legged Death Race and Will was tied to Nico (no suprise there) 

But if you think about it, that partner is who you either live or die with, so if they had to choose anybody, they chose each other, just in a way of “If I die, I’m dying with you.”

Idk I just feel like that was a tiny unappreciated solangelo moment 😉
