I am seriously loving The Hidden Oracle. 

Obviously I love the familiar faces, and the mythological allusions, and every reference to my precious Seventh Wheel<3 

But I’m loving the rest of it, too–Meg, and Austin and Kayla, and the mystery, and Apollo as a character. I honestly didn’t think I would care much about him, but he’s actually rather fascinating. The clash of narcissism and self-doubt, humor and tragedy, adolescence and ancientry…it’s so interesting. 

And Nico. Oh my gosh, I love how Nico’s character has developed. I feel like he’s finally struck a balance. Some of the vitality and innocence of his younger self has reawakened, but now it’s combined with maturity, even a bit of wisdom, and a very intentional, beautifully morbid sense of humor. 

I just…I’m digging this book.
