I like that we get to see the moment that Hiyori truly begins to wonder about who Yato is rather than what. She’s starting to see more sides to him other than the ones he shows her. He has a past, he has a family, he’s not as confident as he lets on. He’s not as silly as he pretends to be. I think what bothers her the most is the fact that someone made him feel like less than worth a shrine. Less than worth anything. Worthless. Yato has become human to her now. Not that he wasn’t important to her before, but there’s a difference between knowing about someone and knowing someone. It’s sinking in that she does not know Yato and she wants to. She wants to know everything about the person she knows thinks so much of her and that’s very compassionate and caring of her.
